Jenkins to Speak at CHC’s D.C. Meeting

Oct. 27, 2016 — Pam Jenkins, president of Powell Tate/Weber Shandwick, will be the keynote speaker at the Nov. 16 session of the Coalition for Healthcare Communication’s D.C. meeting, to be held Nov. 15-16 in Washington.

Jenkins specializes in health-related issues management and social marketing for a range of corporate, foundation and government clients. Over the years she has helped pharmaceutical and other clients generate critical support among the public, patient advocacy groups and policymakers for Medicare reimbursement, FDA approvals, patient assistance programs, patent extensions and drug launches.

She has also counseled health-related trade and professional groups seeking to communicate the value of products and services to enhance membership, support or defeat legislation, build brand awareness and create a favorable climate for policy change. Additionally, Jenkins has forged alliances among interest groups on a range of issues.

Jenkins is joining a distinguished roster of industry experts and healthcare marketing advocates speaking at the Coalition conference. Bruce Haynes, co-head of Purple Strategies, will kick off the meeting on the evening of Nov. 15, and on Nov. 16 Jenkins will be followed by Peter Kosmala of the 4As D.C. office, Michael McCaughan, Senior Editor at Prevision Policy and The RPM Report, and other leading marketing advocates as they discuss such important topics as marketing tax legislation, changes in the administration and the outcome of FDA hearings on off-label communication.
